2018年1月22日，統計局公布了國內2017年全年工業(yè)機器人產量，2017年工業(yè)機器人累計生產超過13萬套，累計增長68.1%，其中12月份產量為12682套，單月同比增長56.5%。

2018年至2020年，將是中國工業(yè)機器人產業(yè)發(fā)展最重要的3年，最后3年的發(fā)展將直接關系到《機器人產業(yè)發(fā)展規(guī)劃(2016-2020年)》目標的達成。 隨著國內、國際品牌紛紛擴產，新開工工廠將在2018年、2019年實現量產，OFweek行業(yè)研究中心認為，未來3年，國內工業(yè)機器人產量在目前基礎上還會翻番，到2020年國內工業(yè)機器人產量或將超過25萬臺。
